Quick Tip Tuesday- Grab Your Bags, It’s Time To Go January 14, 2014

Here we are, the second full week of the new year. The gyms are packed (for now), everyone is excited about getting healthy and fit, and everyone is back to work. It’s easy to get ourselves ready for the gym when we don’t have a job getting in the way of our leisurely gym schedule, but now that the 9 to 5 is back in full effect after the holidays, how will you make sure that your gym routine does not fall to the wayside? Preparation is key…

Refer to my previous post (here) on getting your weekly exercise gear ready ahead of time .gym bag

In order for me to always be ready for the gym, I must have a basic gym bag packed at all times. Basic essentials include the following:

Wireless headphones

Back-up headphones (in case the charge on the other ones goes out)

Lifting gloves

Weight belt

Head/sweat band

Pony tail holders

Face/body soap

Body lotion

Face lotion

Deodorant

Flip flops/shower shoes

T-Shirt

Sweatpants

Gym membership card

All of above items should be in your bag at all times with the addition of items to your liking, and minus the things you would never use from the above list.

Helpful hint– the next time you stay at a hotel, keep some of the travel-sized toiletries they give you and use them for your gym bag.

If you go to the gym right after work, be sure to add your gym attire, socks, and gym shoes to your bag every morning or night. Keep your bag in your car and you will never have to stop home first, creating another excuse (or delay) not to hit the gym.

  1. Jay Says:

For me and other people who suffer from dry skin, I must keep body oils, that’s a vaseline and extra moisturizer

  2. […] Well, if you’ve read any of my previous posts, you know I like to prep as much as I can ahead of time. (Check out my post on preparing for the gym here.) […]
